Events and Activities Happening in Barcelona: December, 2016

Barcelona’s event calendar is always full, adding to the city’s charm. Although not the best time of the year for outdoor activities, Barcelona’s weather remains more or less mild throughout the winter, providing an enjoyable atmosphere for live music events or food trucks. From special Christmas markets to concerts and expositions at the museum, there’s so much to do and too few days before we say goodbye to 2016!

Here are a few great events and activities going on in Barcelona during December:

Music

There’s always a ton of concerts in the city, so explore a bit online to find an event that suits you best. Visit the new pop up club or head over to one of the city’s famous nightclubs. Just remember that Barcelona locals don’t arrive to the club until around 1:30 or 2 am! If you’re into Jazz, you’re also in luck as each December Barcelona plays host to the International Jazz Festival hosted by Voll-Damm.

There’s an increasing trend of outdoor markets popping up throughout Barcelona these days and the month of December is no different. There are special holiday editions such as the All Those Food Market Navidad and Market de Nadal for all of your street food and vintage shopping needs. Looking for the perfect Christmas gift? Stop over at CRIM’s local design and handmade market or Estació Disseny for artesian beer, vermut and music along with fashion, art and design pieces for sale.
